Getting started

Your first week with Tincograph

Tincograph is one account across several apps, and most of the setup is done once and never thought about again. This is that list.

Day one

  1. Verify your email. Unverified accounts are deleted after seven days. Email delivery is not connected yet, so the message may not arrive — read I did not get the email before you start refreshing your inbox.
  2. Pick a username. Optional, and it is what other people would see. See Choose a username.
  3. Turn on two-factor authentication and save the ten recovery codes somewhere that is not the machine you are sitting at: Turn on two-factor authentication.

The rest of the week

Open the AI workspace. It works signed out and with no keys, because a built-in mock provider ships with it — that provider echoes you rather than thinking, so treat it as a tour of the interface. Add a real provider to get real answers: Bring your own model key.

Learn where your chats live. They stay in the browser you made them in and are not copied to your account. This surprises people on day three rather than day one: Where your AI data is stored.

Look at your credits. The free plan includes 50 a month. Nothing local spends them, and a chat through your own key spends nothing either. See What a credit is and Plans and what each includes.

If you have a Mac, Nova is the browser where a tab can also hold a terminal, and signing in inside it registers the Mac on your account: What Nova is and Paired devices.

What is not here yet

Being clear about this is cheaper than letting you look for it:

State
Video editor Being built
Gallery Being built
Buying a plan Checkout takes no money; prices are provisional
Google sign-in Not available
Email delivery Not connected
Nova relay (reaching your Mac from outside your network) Not deployed

Everything else in this help centre describes something that exists.
