Getting started

Create an account

One account covers every Tincograph app. Create it once and Nova, the AI workspace and the camera link all sign in with it.

Signing up

Go to the app, choose Create an account, and give an email address and a password of at least eight characters. You can also choose Email me a sign-in link and skip the password entirely — the link signs you in and you can add a password later from your account page.

We ask for an email address rather than a username because it is the only thing that can get you back in when you lose everything else.

Verifying your email

New accounts get a verification email. Until you click the link, some things are limited and an unverified account is deleted after seven days — not as a punishment, but because an address nobody confirmed is usually a typo, and keeping it forever means mailing a stranger.

If it does not arrive: wait a minute, then check spam. You can ask for another from the sign-in screen, up to three times in fifteen minutes. If it still does not arrive, the address may have bounced before; write to [email protected] from the address you are trying to use and we will tell you what happened to it.

Choosing a username

A username is optional and separate from your email. It is what other people would see if you ever share something. Three to thirty characters, lower case letters and numbers, with full stops and underscores allowed in the middle — no hyphens, and it cannot start or end with punctuation. A short list of names is reserved — admin, support, api and similar — so that nobody can pretend to be us.

You can change it, and the old one is parked for thirty days so that a link someone has saved does not immediately point at somebody else.

What we do with your address

We answer you, we send the emails you ask for, and that is the whole list. There are no ads, no trackers and nothing sold. You can export or delete everything from your account page at any time — see Export or delete your data.
