Account and security

Export or delete your data

Both live on your account page, under Your data and Delete account.

Exporting

Download my data produces a single JSON file containing everything the platform stores against your account:

Section What it holds
profile Display name, username, plan, dates
devices Every paired device, including revoked ones and when they were revoked
documents Your synced documents — bookmarks, settings, tabs, layouts — with their versions
jobs Work you queued on our servers
exportedAt When the export was made

It is generated in your browser from the same reads the apps use, so there is no queue and no email with a link in it. The file is JSON rather than a zip of spreadsheets because it is meant to be complete and machine-readable, not pretty.

Your AI chats, projects and artifacts are not in it. Not an omission — they are stored in your browser and never sent to us, so the server has nothing to export. See Where your AI data is stored for how to get at them.

Deleting the account

Delete my account… asks you to type your email address, then schedules the deletion fourteen days out and signs you out straight away.

During those fourteen days:

  • The account still exists and you can still sign in.
  • Signing in shows a banner with the scheduled date and a Cancel deletion button.
  • Cancelling is immediate and complete; nothing is half-deleted in the meantime.

The grace period exists because account deletion is the one action with no undo, and the two states people are in when they press it — furious, or mistaken — both pass within a fortnight.

On the scheduled date the delete is permanent and cascades: profile, devices, synced documents, jobs and the sign-in record itself. We cannot restore an account afterwards, because there is nothing left to restore it from.

Before you delete

Take the export first — it is one button and it is the only copy you will have.

Chats and artifacts in the AI workspace are not deleted by this, because they were never on our servers. Clear them on the device itself with Clear local data in the workspace settings, on each browser you have used.

If you only want to stop being signed in somewhere, Paired devices covers revoking a device and ending other sessions, neither of which touches your data.
